Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to break 16:30 before the end of this year and complete in my first marathon and run it under 2:55.  Then run boston in either 2011 or 2012.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be able to look back at my running prime yrs and feel I did with it everything I could that I wanted to.

Personal:

I did just over 6 straight yrs of competitive running in HS and College.  By 4 wks into my 7th yr I was done.  After about a 5 yr off season I started back up with running for the simple pleasure of the sport.  The more I did it though the more I wanted to race.  I was out kicked by a guy at a 5K race in Memphis in June of '08.  I don't like getting beat at the line.  I realized I was not in the shape I needed to be in if I wanted to be passed less frequently.  I feel I am physically and mentally stronger than I was in college now time to prove that with the clock.

I'm also getting married in November!

Changed around last week's workout to again get a little speed work before I ran some track races next week.  Was all over the place on the 600s.  Happy with how I hit the 400s.  And who dosen't like running 200s to end a tough workout?  This one was tough but I feel I got some good work done and should see some good results next Tuesday night on the track.
